21.10.2008 Spanish edition of the book The Heart of Asia by N.K.Roerich

Spanish speaking readers of our planet got a wonderful present for the 80th anniversary of the Central Asian Expedition. The Heart of Asia by N.K.Roerich was published in Spanish in the S.R. publishing house in Spain. It is a joint work of The Banner of Peace Museum by name of N.Roerich of the country of Basques (Spain) and the International Centre of the Roerichs. The first presentation took place in Moscow in the Museum by name of N.Roerich in the context of the conference 80th Anniversary of the Central Asian Expedition. The President of the Association Dargiling Agni Yoga Leonardo Olazabal Amaral presented first books to the International Centre of the Roerichs.

21.09.2008 Closing of the International festival Russia – India – Tibet

On September 6, 2008 in the Centre-Museum by name of Nicholas Roerich a ceremony of destruction of the sand mandala, devoted to Buddha of Medicine, and a closing of the International festival Russia-India-Tibet, took place. The main participants of the festival were monks of the oldest Tibetan monastery Drepung Goman which has been revived nowadays.

By the decision of the Court of Arbitration on November 4, 2008 the Federal Agency of Federal Property administration and the State Museum of the East people art were non suited to move the International Centre of the Roerichs out of the Mansion of the Lopukhins. The International Centre of the Roerichs thanks and expresses gratitude for everybody who supported and protected the Museum by name of the Nicholas Roerich, founded by Svetoslav Roerich.
