The closing day of the festival “The Roerichs’ Himalayan Estate – Karma-Bhumi of the Great Russian Family” in the IRMT was dedicated to the celebrations of the 114th birth anniversary of Svetoslav Roerich, the younger son of Nicholas and Helena Roerich.

Lectures on the Roerichs Delivered in Shimla University and College
On October 12–13, 2018, the students, research scholars and teaching staff of the Department of Visual Arts and other departments of Himachal Pradesh University and the Rajkiya Kanya Mahavidyalaya (RKMV), Shimla got a wonderful opportunity to learn about the life and art of Nicholas and Svetoslav Roerich.

The Uncertain Future of the Enlightenment Stupa in Moscow. By Lyudmila Klasanova
The Enlightenment Stupa in Moscow, also known as the Three Jewels Stupa, was consecrated on 18 June 2008 on the grounds of Lopoukhin Mansion, where the International Center of the Roerichs and its non-governmental museum named after the Russian artist, scholar, thinker, and public figure Nicholas Roerich (1874–1947) were located until 28 April 2017.

Nicholas Roerich Anniversary Celebrations in International Roerich Memorial Trust
In front of the memorial Roerich House were solemnly hoisted the national flags of India and Russia, and the Banner of Peace. The distinguished guests of the programme, Dr. Rita Singh, Advisor (Hindi), Ministry of Finance, Government of India; Member, Art, Language and Culture Academy, State Government of Himachal Pradesh; Smt. Sushma Sharma, President, Naggar Panchayat; Olga Slepova, poetess (Russia), Tamara Merges, head of the volunteer group from the International Centre of the Roerichs (ICR), Moscow, and other guests from India and Russia, took part in the flag hoisting ceremony.
On October 7, 2018, within the framework of the October Russian-Indian Culture Festival dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the Roerichs’ settling in Kullu, the International Roerich memorial Trust (IRMT), Naggar held an academic seminar “On Certain Activities of ‘Urusvati’ Himalayan Research Institute.”
On October 6, the Himalayan Roerich Estate resounded with the joyful voices of children participating in the Children and Youth Festival “Russia-India: From Heart to Heart” that visited the International Roerich Memorial Trust already for the fourth time during the traditional Indo-Russian culture festival on the occasion of the Roerichs’ anniversaries.

A Buddhist stupa is dying in Moscow
The Moscow Buddhists are in despair. For a year now they have not been able to access the Buddhist stupa of the “Three Jewels”, which is located not far from the Kremlin on the territory of the old Lopukhins' estate in Maly Znamensky Lane. In 2017, on April 28, the estate was transferred to the State Museum of Oriental Art with the support of the Ministry of Culture.
